The Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor is the second largest match venue in Qatar behind the Lusail Iconic Stadium.
The Lusail Iconic Stadium was opened officially on November 21, 2021 and it would be thematch venue for both the opening ceremony and the closing ceremony as far as the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament is concerned. This means that the Lusail Iconic Stadium will host the opening and closing matches in Qatar next year. Lusail Iconic Stadium is one of seven World Cup Stadiums converted for the tournament in Qatar.
