LUSAIL STADIUM TO HOST WORLD CUP 2022 FINAL

The FIFA World Cup is set to start next year and being the most prestigious tournament in world football, it has left football fans across the world excited even though it’s still a few months before the first match kicks off. The tournament will be hosted by Qatar and it will be the first time a country in the Middle East will be hosting a World Cup tournament. The country won the right to host the tournament back in 2010 and they are set to be host to football’s biggest and best football stars when the event starts next year.

There have been a lot of preparations going on in the country regarding the stadiums that will be used for the tournament and while some are still undergoing construction with some finishing touches needed, some other stadiums have already been completed and ready to host some football action.

Schedule for the 2022 FIFA World Cup:

Tournament stage Date(s)

Group stage:  November 21 – December 2

Last 16:           December 3, 4, 5, 6

Quarterfinals:            December 9 & 10

Semi-finals:   December 13 & 14

Third-place play-off:  December 17

Final:  December 18

The tournament will start in on the 21st of November and will be completed on the 18th of December next year and kick-off times have already been allotted to the games.

World Cup Kick-off Times

Group Stage Matches:  10am, 1pm, 4pm and 7pm GMT (5am, 8am, 11am and 2pm ET).

The regular kick-off time for the rest of the round of games in the tournament will be either 3pm or 7pm GMT. The final will start at 3pm GMT and will be hosted by the Lusail Stadium
