With many eagerly looking forward to just the start of new era for Australia Football, the future is for once avoiding the tag of  "just to get pass this season" mentality that plagued the old National Soccer League.

Now the clubs are planning not only for a long term longevity but when you see the what the concept stadium that the Victory will be using from 2008 onwards, well, it is a sensational way to promote this game for exactly that ,and not the club and the national body politics that always took centre stage in recent years.

Membership for the Victory will be soon posted on the official website, but if you had already signed up on the website you would have already received membership details and the wide variety of merchandise that is to be available.

Meanwhile the Victory has just slaughtered a Queensland Select team to the tune of nine goals. Goalscoerers included
Archie Thompson, Michael Ferrante, Danny Allsopp, Tadrosse, Sarkies and Diaco.

But for the time been the Melbourne Victory will be utilising the existing Olympic Park venue with the first match to be against the current Australian League champions Perth Glory,
