With many eagerly looking forward to just the start of new era for Australia Football, the future is for once avoiding the tag of  "just to get pass this season" mentality that plagued the old National Soccer League.

Meanwhile the Victory has just slaughtered a Queensland Select team to the tune of nine goals. Goalscoerers included Archie Thompson, Michael Ferrante, Danny Allsopp, Tadrosse, Sarkies and Diaco.

But for the time been the Melbourne Victory will be utilising the existing Olympic Park venue with the first match to be against the current Australian League champions Perth Glory,
